Our Philosophy
Passionate about making good coffee, we source only the highest quality green coffee and work with those who seek to do the same. We roast a small, intentional selection with care to bring forth the unique qualities of each one, highlighting what makes them special.
Even with all that, we believe a cup can only be as good as the company you share it with. So, grab some friends (furry or not) and brew it just the way you like it; we won’t judge as long as you enjoy.
Our Story
Little Wolf Coffee began roasting in 2016 in the small town of Ipswich, MA just north of Boston out of Chris and Melissa's love for coffee and sharing coffee with others and named after their Siberian Husky - River. From there, we shared our passion for coffee with the local community as specialty coffee begins to grow in addition to sending coffee to our wholesale accounts across the country. Chris and Melissa first fell in love with coffee themselves living in Seattle where they quickly went down the specialty coffee rabbit hole. Chris, obsessive to a fault with new interests, began roasting coffee at home a few years before opening in 2016, sharing that coffee with friends and family before ultimately turning towards a larger more commercial path.
Founded on roasting coffee that we love and showcasing all of its inherent qualities, not hide them, we source coffees with a range of flavor profiles instead of manipulating a bean through roast to be something it is not naturally. That means our coffees are always light to medium but always fully developed.
With all of that said, we believe a cup of coffee is only as good as the company you share it with and strive to grow specialty coffee through approach-ability, openness and companionship. Our community comes first to us and we always happy to indulge seasoned and new coffee lovers alike in conversation, we only want our coffee to be enjoyed, no matter what that means to you.
FAQ
When are orders roasted/shipped?

When are orders roasted/shipped?
+
We currently roast online orders Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday every week (barring Thanksgiving/Christmas).
Unfortunately UPS/USPS do not pick up late enough to get every order shipped on the same day so orders ship (or are ready for pickup at our cafe) the day after.
That means an order placed Wed-Sun would be roasted the following Monday and ready for pickup or shipped Tuesday.
What about if I place an order during the day on Wednesday?

What about if I place an order during the day on Wednesday?

Unfortunately we pull orders and begin roasting at 6am each day so any order placed after that on Wednesday (or any other roast day) will generally not be roasted until the following Monday.
Feel free to shoot us an email if you have a specific time crunch you need to meet and we'll do our best to help where we can!

The Exclusive Subscription is our way of bringing in really fun (we think) lots that we may not otherwise be able to buy. Often times this is because the lots are too small to have a full offering but we also use this as a way to help new producers and importers explore new processes and relationships for ourselves as well.
As a result these coffees are often more expensive and often a bit wilder in their overall profile. They may not always be a crazy co-ferment but it also could be!
Since it takes time to track down these coffees, these coffees ONLY ship on the first week of every month. This way we can ensure everyone that subscribes is able to taste the coffee each month.
That also means if you place your first, initiating, order mid month then your first order will not ship until the following month.
